Our Family

We raise our six precious children and many animals on Mountain Haven Farm. We milk our family milk cow (Gypsy), garden, love on pigs, play with our Border Collie (Jane), enjoy time around the campfire, and love to read. We spend lots of time outside together and in the summer we swim in the lake or river as often as possible! We want our home and farm to always be a haven of rest for all who come to visit, be it for an hour or an extended stay in our guest cottage. Thank you for stopping by our website. We truly hope you'll send us an email and come visit Mountain Haven Farm located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley.

Our Mission

Our mission is to raise the best breeding and feeding stock in a humane, honest, and happy environment so that many other families can enjoy Idaho Pasture Pigs on their farms! We also strive, to inspire others to support small family farms and to raise animals the way they were intended to be raised: in a natural environment where they are able to eat grass, run, play in the mud, and soak up the sunshine!

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.

In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.
